Pro Bono Dental Restoration

Every Smile Tells a Story

Full smile restoration for domestic violence survivors, those in recovery, undocumented individuals, and anyone facing extraordinary circumstances — at no cost.

For years, I saw 15-20 patients a day. I was good at it, but something was missing. The days I loved most were the ones where I had time to really focus — to obsess over the details, to design something beautiful.

So I cut my patient load by 80%. Now I see 4-5 people a day. Some days, just one. And when that one person is a domestic violence survivor who hasn't smiled in years, or an undocumented mother working two jobs who can't afford dental care, or someone in recovery rebuilding their life piece by piece — those are the best days of my career.

This isn't for everyone. But if you've been through something extraordinary and your smile was taken from you, let's talk. No documentation required. No questions about status.

Restoring More Than Teeth

A smile is not vanity. For someone who has survived domestic violence, battled addiction, lived without documentation, or faced devastating hardship, a restored smile is dignity. It is the ability to look in the mirror without shame. It is the confidence to interview for a job, to meet new people, to begin again.

I provide complete pro bono dental restoration on a case-by-case basis — from 3D printed same-day crowns and veneers to full-mouth rehabilitation and All-on-4 implant procedures. Every case is selected carefully, treated meticulously, and documented to inspire others.

"I hadn't smiled with my teeth showing in 11 years. Dr. Bui didn't just fix my mouth — he gave me back my face. He never asked for papers. He just asked what happened."

— Sarah M., Domestic Violence Survivor

Who We Help

Pro bono cases are accepted based on need, circumstance, and readiness. All are welcome regardless of documentation status.

Domestic Violence Survivors

Physical trauma to the mouth and teeth is common in abusive relationships. We restore what was taken — at no cost, with complete confidentiality and compassion.

Recovery & Rehabilitation

Substance abuse often destroys oral health. For individuals in sustained recovery (6+ months), we provide the dental restoration needed to complete their physical healing.

Undocumented Individuals

Dental care is often out of reach for undocumented individuals due to cost, fear, and lack of insurance access. We do not ask about immigration status. We do not require documentation. We only ask about your dental health and your story.

Extraordinary Hardship

Medical bankruptcy, refugee status, homelessness recovery, or other exceptional circumstances. Each application is reviewed individually with dignity.

Before & After

With patient permission, we share these journeys to inspire hope.

About Dr. Bui

After years of running a high-volume practice, I made a decision that changed everything: I reduced my patient load by 80% and dedicated my practice to doing work that matters most.

Today, I see 4-5 patients per day. Some days, just one. That one person might be a domestic violence survivor who hasn't smiled in years, an undocumented worker who has been in pain for years but too afraid to seek help, or someone in recovery rebuilding their life piece by piece. When I place that final crown and hand them the mirror — that moment is why I became a dentist.

I use the same advanced technology for pro bono cases that I use for private patients: 3D printing for same-day restorations, 3D-guided implant surgery, and digital smile design. Every patient deserves excellence, regardless of their ability to pay or their documentation status.

A Note of Gratitude

This work is not done alone. Every smile restored is made possible by the generosity of others — the dental supply companies who donate materials, the assistants who volunteer their Saturdays, the community organizations who connect us with those in need, and the patients who bravely share their stories so others know help is possible.

To everyone who gives — whether time, resources, or simply kindness — thank you. You are the reason someone who thought they were invisible will look in the mirror tomorrow and see themselves again.

"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."

— Mahatma Gandhi

If you feel moved to support this work, the greatest gift you can give is sharing this page with someone who needs it. Every person who finds their way here because of you is a life that might be changed forever.

With gratitude,
